Dan is the managing partner of the firm and is doing marketing and business development for the firm. He has extensive experience with business and farm clients with over 25 years in the accounting industry and provides services to our clients in Peterborough and Picton

Peter is the partner in charge of client services for the firm. Peter has been working in public accounting services for 28 years servicing small and medium sized businesses and provides services to our clients in Hanna, Oyen, Coronation, Three Hills, Canmore and Hinton.

Alok Verma, CPA, CGA


Alok is the head of our tax team and is doing marketing and business development for the firm. He has completed the CPA Canada’s In-depth tax course, this combined with many years of practical experience and with a superior tax team behind him we are well positioned to offer a full range of tax solutions to our clients. He also provides services to our clients in Drumheller and Airdrie.

Josh Hilton, CPA, CGA

Josh started his career with Ascend in 2018 after spending time in industry and at another national accounting firm.  He became a designated accountant in 2013. He is continuing his leadership role within the firm and providing excellent service to our clients in Drumheller and Stettler.

Sukhan is the partner in charge of education and quality control. His goal is to create an environment in which both management and staff strive for perfection. He has provided services to our clients for over 16 years in Bancroft.

Jamie is in charge of Information Technology (IT) for the firm. He has a unique background in both accounting and IT so this enables him to design excellent solutions for our clients that combine technology and accounting together. He also provides services to our clients in Sussex and Saint John.
